Seriously serious post .

 Self esteem issues. Practically the reason  Girlfriend  magazine   exists. The reason why Supre  simply thrives.  Plastic surgery shops stay are open till 11pm because of self esteem . It sucks, basically, but it makes sense. You can not walk into a shopping mall and not see at least 12 photo- shopped photos of stick thin models,but that's just the beginning. 

The problem is not just the photos but also the advertising business. For instance, "Use Maybelline mascara and get those mile long lashes you have been craving!"  Thank you Maybelline for just convincing the teenage population that their eyelashes are not long enough and desperately need improving.
 I sound kind of annoyed, I guess. Well, I am annoyed ! With millions of ads  like that on the TV every  single night  it stands to reason that the make up trade is going so well.

 Being self conscious  about how you look starts from a young age .The other day I went to babysit . She wanted to play with her plastic dolls, which was fine, until I saw the doll. SHOCK HORROR !!!! Stick thin long legs, huge chest, wearing a little bikini for goodness sake. It made me upset. Little girls should grow up wanting to be themselves   not super-models. Its just not healthy to hate yourself . Self esteem issues are one of  the main factors behind teenage suicide .

I shall stop ranting now... I was annoyed at how much pressure there is to be perfect. All the time. I feel less irritated  after ranting about it to  you guys ! And now I shall leave you with some facts about hair colour...

                       chapter 4 !!! .

As Rachel walked through the halls of McKinley high school she was  aware of people staring at her , in a good way not in a spinach in your teeth way . it was not strange for her to be the centre of attention a her school , only last week had she attracted quite a crowd while she screamed at the football players for throwing a slushie at her , but it was rare , very rare in fact for her to have people looking at her in a good way and she was enjoying it although it puzzled her ,rather. smiling politely at a freshman cheerleader Rachel walked into home ec room for her class . their teacher , Mr eeled smiled warmly at her and said ;" Ah , good your here . We thought we would try baking rocky road to day , Rachel , could you talk us through it ?".
" Uh, of coarse ". this   was way confusing for Rachel as Mr eeled hated her because once she had told him his methods were outdated . as Rachel washed her hands the students , who consisted of 8 cheerios , and 5 football players all actually clapped . a week go in this very class when Rachel had offered to check on the cake everyone in the class had booed her ! later , as the kids filed out of the room , Harry Kerr, who was the star rugby player blocked Rachel's path . " Hey , that rocky road looked great ! there   are some some great cooking classes over at millions point , maybe we could go to one   together ?.  
" I will check my schedule " . Rachel was freaking out , after Finn Hudson, Harry Kerr was the hottest guy in school and he  his bffl was  Rachels Rival in her dance class , Eleanor goodwinward . to be honest Eleanor was better than Rachel and more popular than her too, and because Harry is bffl with Elly ,Harry would never ask her out but he had which did not make any sense but whatever . she headed out to lunch . 

  I might end it there . I know it was short , but the next one will conclude this fanfic so it will be longer . I am thinking about a Finn / Rachel reunion !!!!!! 

installment 3 : Rachel Berry's best ever 
             birthday party !!! 

Rachel Berry headed of to school with a good feeling in her stomach . after such a successful morning ( her dads had made her Apple and cinnamon waffles for breakfast and bought her a new elliptical trainer that was bright pink ) she just knew that school was gonna be great . Birthdays were lucky days, maybe she would even get her ex-boyfriend , Finn Hudson back!!! On the other side of  town however Kurt Hummel was pretty much  falling asleep in the car  that his stepbrother owned . The stepbrother who was still in the house talking on the phone .   " Finn Hudson get out here this minute or we will be late!" 
" sorry, said  Finn jogging out , but get this ; Sam said the football guys thought all along Rachel was hot , they were just to afraid to say ". 
" That's great Finn " . 
when the stepbrothers arrived  at school Kurt turned to Finn " you had better know what your doing " .
" I got this , bro , don't stress . 
Rachel met Mercedes and Tina her 2 bffl in the parking lot . " happy birthday Rachel ! " 
" thank you Tina '' .  
" Have a present girl " said Mercedes proffering a box . 
Rachel opened it . inside was a strip of silver . " its a angelic headband '' Tina giggled .
Rachel put it on . she looked super duper pretty .linking arms with t and m she strolled in doors . to her surprise nobody threw a slushie at her or even whispered " Why is she wearing that?" instead a popular cheerleader planted herself in front of her and said ( looking a tiny bit pained ) " Rachel , happy birthday ! we have to celebrate . come to the party I am having at my place on Friday . see you there ". 
" OK , said a faintly bemused Rachel . 
Around the corner Finn hi-fived Puck " this is going to be an awesome day " he whispered .

" Oh , look , sportsgirl  has their new range of Winter capes in !" exclaimed Kurt , excitedly . 
"Kurt , please concentrate , we are here to get something super for Rachel , not to shop for you".
" Okay , Finn , I will come here with Blaine , maybe . Anyways what did you have in mind for Rachely ?".
 " Ur well that's where you come in , Kurt . I wanna get Rachel something to show her that even though we are not  together I still care about her ". 
 "Got it ". 
By this time they were outside target and they came to a stop ." Um , Target ?  Finn , no,no, no just no ".
"well where else are we gonna shop for her present ?" 
" Finn it is clear that I need to take the upper hand here . Go to the food court and have a milkshake . I will be done soon. " 
Finn wandered off to order a cookie dough milkshake . Kurt  came back 20 minutes later , clutching may , many, shopping bags . 
" sorry I was so long ,he panted, I went to Calvin Klein , candymania ,   ms fields , ukea ."
 " looks like you got the lot ". 
"oh I did , I just need to work on these things a bit . 
" suits me !. 
"I will be done by tomorrow "

Awesome, Awesome , awesome !! it is totally my birthday on Saturday which is exciting , it kinda snuck up on me - this year has gone so fast . I decided to have for my birthday cake a Lemon polenta cake from one of Nigella  Lawson , if it is a success I will post a recipe !  They went out for Lunch , having  done a whole 3 lawns in one morning . Rachel was trying to get back in favour   with her fellow club members but her endless list of reasons why she was right and Taylor Swift was wrong did not seem to be doing the trick . as everyone entered the Pizza shop Rachel was on reason n.215  
 which was ; " What an appalling  pair of heels  would t  you agree , Kurt ? . 
" Well , actually  said Kurt quietly , they are the most expensive Jimmy choos shoes to date. 
"Oh" . Quinn found a Table that would seat all of them and after a quick heated discussion Puck and Sam went to order the Pizzas . " Yum , I have not had Pizza for the longest time " commented Mercedes mournfully . 
" Cedes you had some yesterday " Santana reminded her , Brittany and Tina both giggled . 
"don't  " Rachel began " you think it is shameful the way stars , particularly pop singers use their fame to make other people work day and night for them ?!!!".
Only one person answered as only one person was listening - " Rachel I am totally your biggest fan , meeting Taylor swift will not change that ''. 
" Thanks Finn , It is nice to know that I have a friend in you . 
" Yeah , hey remember when we watched toy story together and you knew all the words to the song ?  . 
" Yes , and you cried" !  their  intimate  moment was broken by Quinn jumping into Finns lap and Santana saying something dirty about Puck . 
"HEY Y'ALL PEOPLE " yelled Artie "I smell Pizza !!! " 
and indeed Sam and Puck were back with about 7 Pizza box's . there was margarita , Pepperoni , Mushroom , vegetarian , pea , , meat ,   and Ham and pineapple !! every one was tucking in  when Finns phone rang . 
" uh , hi Mr shuester " .
" Finn ! I have good news , you guys do not  need to cut any more lawns !" .
" Um , why " asked Finn , putting his phone on speaker . 
" Well , Sue won the Lotto but cos she rigged it she has to donate the money to a charity of her choice and Figgins made her donate it to us !! " whoohoo ! .
" and " said Finn struggling to keep the emotion out of his voice " when did you find out about this ? .
"last night " 
" So , we cut all those lawns for nothing ?"

" You didn't mean to be cynical " ,Rachel repeated ,  " you didn't mean to be cynical ?! .
"Um , yeah . I am Taylor Swift by the way" , said Taylor Swift good naturedly .
"We ,uh , cut your lawn for you , miss swift ", mumbled Finn awkwardly .
All of the boys were giving the blond in front of them big goofy grins that were making Rachel's blood boil .
" Oh , grow up Finn !  you are getting all excited about meeting her , when you get to sing with me everyday "!!!. Taylor , now looking slightly frightened , approached Rachel . "Urm , I am guessing from your name tag that your name is Rachel ? "
"oh you  wish ! I am Rachel  berry , soon to be broadway legend . And I can promise you that when I am famous YOU  will be cutting MY lawn !!!" the rest of new directions were just standing there , Artie was feeling so embarrassed  . His crush was standing in front of him wearing a purple sundress and being yelled at by a 17 year old girl , who came up to her chest . What made it worse was that he was friends with the girl who was yelling :( .
"OK  Rachel, sorry you are not having a good day , smiled Taylor Swift , I would have stayed to help but I had A standing appointment with DISNEY , that I could not miss ."
Kurt spoke up " seriously , don't worry about it Taylor , Rachel just forget to take her medication today . Its all good" .
"KURT " yelled Rachel " I can not believe you !  SHE IS TALKING ABOUT  DISNEY !!! BROAD WAY ALWAYS TRUMPS DISNEY . DISNEY IS AN   EXCUSE  FOR" -  but whatever it was an excuse for was never found out cos  Artie , who could take it no longer wheeled over Rachel's foot . Yes , REALLY . Tina was looking nervous and Brittany looked like she was about to start a monologue about squirrels , Quinn was about to bite Rachel's head of  , oh, and Lauren had just offered Taylor Swift some Peanut M n Ms .
" I am allergic to peanuts said Taylor , turning pale , and  for the record , she continued , her voice becoming strong , Selena Gomez the Disney star is one of the nicest girls I have ever met !" . 
Rachel stopped saying OW  , and looked like she was going to respond so Kurt said :" On behalf of all of us it was nice to meet you ,Taylor , urm , I think a hasty retreat is in order "
" Right ", said the popstar , quickly shaking Kurt's hand , " put some ice on her foot " .
half dragging Rachel they all ran out , Artie hastily whispering " your awsome" to Taylor as he wheeled out , he also hi-Fived her . they waited till all of the club was in the car before shouting at Rachel .

                           Cutting the lawns chapter 3 .


"Um , so do you think it is the ACTUAL Taylor Swift "? asked Tina while they were in the car .
" Don't  be silly Tina , she happens to live in LA" , Rachel said perkily "Do you really think she would come down to Ohio just so we could cut her lawn ? " . Nobody replied . Artie would never tell any of his friends this but his celebrity crush was and is one Taylor Swift -  he thought his girlfriend Brittany kinda looked like her. He imagined if the Taylor they were going to work for was actully the famous pop star . He would not know  what to say .
"You OK Kurt " asked Mercedes in a concerned type of voice , "you seem a little bit down . Kurt sighed "It's only that SAM asked me out , I felt really bad saying no ."
"Whoa , KURT,  you serious " ?
"Cedes , don't yell , I don't want to embarrass  Sam , he is kinda nice -  just do not tell Blaine I said that " . "Yep" , said Mercedes, feeling uncomfortable .
"Uh , looks like we are here " said Finn . They had stopped outside of a motel , a very posh one .
" Oh my god , seriously it can't be " This was Rachel who secretly  resented Taylor swift . Quinn's mom's car arrived just then  and  Puck , Santana , Brittany , Sam , and Lauren tumbled out .
"Wow! " they said in one voice .Someone then cleared his throat behind them so they turned to see a well dressed man .
" Hello , I am the motel's Butler , I work for the guests who stay here.  Taylor Swift had to pop out but she will be back soon . I can show you   the things you will  need to mow ."
"Okay "said Rachel , secretly fuming. The boys were looking goofily happy . Rachel knew how they felt about Taylor . She kinda hoped they would be done before the pop star got back from shopping for Diamonds or whatever she was doing .  The lawn was not big , so they quickly got to  work .  Sam mowed  , Mercedes and Rachel Whipper snipped , and Lauren hosed . Rachel was having a FIT .
" Why couldn't she cut her own lawn ? It is as big  a handkerchief , why is she in Lima ,Ohio ? Is this even her own house ? No. She should learn to be self sufficient .!"
"Rach, do not have a Hissy fit" muttered Finn ," we are done now anyways ." They started to pack up when suddenly  a tall curly haired girl walked in .
" Um , I don't mean to be cynical but you missed a bit" she said .
 

another chapter finished !  next I will do Rachel meeting Taylor Swift . I kinda like Taylor but she is a little irritating  , the whole thing about her being in ohio is a tad unrealistic I know but I wanted to do "Rachel is jealous scenario " . I will update soon . please comment!

installment 2 .

                                    Cutting the lawn chapter two . 

" You cant be serious " , said Puck in a voice of disbelief . He was standing in the enormous  back yard that Laura Burnetts  owned.
" Huh ? I am SO serious" snapped the woman standing in front of them . Laura Burnett lived in the Burbs - she had a groovy house and was wearing a pink bunny scarf that made Kurt whimper over dramatically  (What ? there is nothing wrong with getting a little performance up in here ) . But now looking  over the endless grasslands they all wanted to burst into tears . "All of it , within the hour " Laura said  menacingly . then she left .
"Yep , lets do this  " Quinn  revved up the lawnmower   and stood staring expectantly at New Directions .  "Well ?! What are you waiting for ? she exclaimed .
" Whoa , baby mama cool it ". Puck grabbed the machine from Quinn.  He tried to drag it on to the lawn . It would not budge . " Finn , Mike ,Bieber , come help me "  . The  boys did so .Puck started to mow , Brittany  grabbed Whippersnippers , she got to work. Quinn grabbed  the hose , Rachel plugged it in so that Quinn could  follow Puck , wetting down the grass .
"Okay , if we are gonna do this we do it our way  exclaimed Kurt  pumping up his Ipod speakers . Lady GaGa's song " Boys ,Boys ,Boys came on ".
"Whoo !!! " Tina and Mercedes cheered ,everyone  started to sing along . Quinn attempted to use a hose as a microphone , Brittany did a flip of the fence while Puck tried to use the lawnmower as a guitar . Nobody noticed Sam sneak over to KURT and take his HAND !
" Um , Kurt , I have been thinking , and uh - do you wanna go out with me ? "
"Oh Sam ya know that I  am with Blaine" . Sam gave him a look and stalked away.
Thanks to a little help from the music the club was done in  just under an hour . Puck hi-fived Quinn and Brittany who had done the main jobs . They cleared out before Laura came back .
" Next stop is  - uh ,um, it says Tayler Swift."  Rachel stuttered . Oh -em- gee said Finn .
This turned out to be a understatement .

fanfiction !!!

hello guys , yes I know I haven't been updating but Iv been sick with a cold - NOT FUN :( . anyways lately I have been reading glee fan fiction which is sooooooooooooooooooooooo awesome  so I am going to try writing a little bit ! it wont be very good I don't think  --- no flames !!!!  I started this little bit yesterday and I am not sure about it but whatever . pairings are : fuinn , possible kablam  and  mentions of pucktana , but all the characters are in it mostly .


                                    Cutting the lawn . 



"Ookay, I am tired now,'' said    Kurt, grinding the lawn mower to a halt .
"Well we cant stop now'' , replied Finn ,"  we did promise Mr shue we would raise at least  $300 for nationals'' .
It was Sunday  and instead of being out with friends or, in Quinn's case, at church, the entire Glee club was busy cutting lawns . They had only done 2 out of 11 but already they were hot , sweaty , and just not happy . Even Santana who wasn't doing anything to help was feeling the strain .
" Urgh , Finn, we could be making out right now '' murmured Quinn . Rachel , who had heard , proceeded to berate them about flaunting their relationship in her  face .
By that time Kurt was finally done . Puck checked the list Mr Shue had given them .
" Next it is Ms Laura Burnett , it's my turn to mow , Brits turn to whippersnip and Lucy - oh , sorry Quinn's - turn to hose." Puck smirked . Finn put an arm around his girlfriend , Quinn , who had gone pale . They all hopped into Artie's dad's van or Quinn's mom's car , as they had agreed to chauffeur  for the day . Quinn , Finn, Sam , Tina and Mercedes hopped into the car while Rachel , Kurt , Brittany  , Santana , Puck and Artie hopped into the van .

BOOK REVEW !

              DASH AND LILY'S BOOK OF DARES  BY RACHEL COHN AND DAVID LEVITHAN BOOK REVIEW


Book clubs can be useful , I would never have read A BRIEF HISTORY OF MONTMARAY  or THE WITCH OF BLACK BIRD POND had we not been doing them for book club -  neither would I have read this singular book , Dash and Lily's Book of Dares , which is rather like comfort food but in book shape . I'll explain - the story starts in New York at December , Christmas time . You're totally thinking how unoriginal  but give me a moment , please . It opens on Dash , a moody teenage  boy in a book store   thinking about how much he hates Christmas . Then he spots a journal . In a book store . Yes really , its a Moleskine journal ( tut tut tut ) Dash opens it and starts to read , it contains a greeting from a girl and books to find , some of them not pc . Dash is intrigued and finds out her name is  Lily and then it begins - a pass the journal game between two 16 year olds, Dash  a charmer and Lily   who is a misfit , lonely , and still mourning the loss of her gerbil she had when she was 6 . As their dares get more fantastic and wild ( ahem )  various other things start to interrupt their balanced , bookish lives, as in ex- gfs from Spain , boarding schools in Fiji , and being arrested for assumed baby stealing . Um , yeah. I shall end with a rating ...

LANGUAGE : pretty extreme .

THEMES :  not too bad apart from dead gerbils and cats .

  Any body else excited  about Easter ?!! I am soooooooo much -  Lucy and I are on Lent so tasting chocolate again will be amazing.  Here is my chocolate wish list . 
a dark chocolate egg -yum! 
a milk chocolate  bunny - squeal ! 
small white chocolate  egg - mhmm ! 
assorted small eggs to share with my siblings - tasty ! 
                                                       Usually we go to my grand parents house for Easter , but I don't know                                                            what our plans are this year . sometimes we have a Easter egg hunt
                                                      and that is so super fun ! We are always finding Easter eggs in the ground ,                                                       for months afterwards ha hee ha . So , what do you want for Easter ?
